After studies at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and in France, Andrei started his career in Paris, where he held international managerial roles with global companies in the tech sector. In 2012, he completed a master’s degree in the Management of Cultural and Artistic Activities at INSEEC, France. From that moment on, his long-time passion for art turned into the focus of his professional activity.

Coming back to Romania, in 2014, he co-founded Gaep Gallery, together with his wife, architect Raluca Șoaita.

Since 2014 to date, the gallery presented 45 exhibitions in the gallery and online, showcasing new artworks and introducing international artists to Romanian audiences, and participated in over 25 international art fairs.

Andrei’s excellent collaboration with the artists represented by Gaep and his keen focus on working in Romania along the same high professional standards as abroad has been recognised internationally: Opening Prize at ARCOmadrid 2019, with a solo presentation of Ištvan Išt Huzjan and Sardi per l’arte Back to the Future Special Mention at Artissima 2017, with a solo presentation of Marilena Preda Sânc.

An energetic and resolute entrepreneur, Andrei is a change-maker, part of a new and dynamic generation of local entrepreneurs aiming for a deep change in the society.

He founded Art Set with the firm belief that real change is triggered by meaningful touchpoints which enhance one’s creativity and bring value to one’s personal and professional life goals.
