A walk through the streets of Barcelona can feel like visiting an oversized art gallery. Here are our recommendations for discovering contemporary art destinations among the city’s multitude of options.

The nomadic biennale of art and culture is taking place from 8 September to 24 November 2024 in Barcelona.
The special itineraries offered to visitors will revitalise several unique spaces. Among them are “The Workers’ Sagrada Familia” (Sant Adrià de Besòs Thermal Power Plant) and Casa Gomis, two landmarks of industrial and architectural heritage.
The foundation was founded by Joan Miró to serve as a sanctuary for his own works and has become a vibrant artistic center dedicated to experimental artists.

In the foundation’s space, exhibitions about the titular artist, such as MiroMatisse: Beyond the Images, are complemented by exhibitions of invited artists. For example, Our Ghosts Live in the Future by Vietnamese artist Tuan Andrew Nguyen, winner of the eighth edition of the Joan Miró Prize.
This is a partnership that brings together two legendary galleries on the international art scene: Joan Prats Gallery and NoguerasBlanchard.

The new gallery space spans 400 square meters and is located in a former photography school.
Among the artists represented by the gallery is Ignacio Uriarte. In Romania, the artist is represented by GAEP and is featured in the art displays staged by Art Set by GAEP in office spaces.
